Gladys Kravits Plays the Zoo

GLADYS KRAVITZ PLAYS THE ZOO IN LINCOLN, NEBRASKA

As many of you might know, the Zoo Bar in Lincoln is one of the great Blues bars in the Midwest.

And Dr. Pat Fortney, Dean of Arts and Science, and the bass player for Gladys Kravitz, fulfilled a dream on September 30 when the band played at the legendary Zoo Bar.

For those of you who might not be familiar with the band, they performed at Cotty's last fall for Homecoming--but they then went by the calling card of the Mark Gammell Band, taking the name of their lead singer and guitar player.

The band members are Mark Gammell - Guitar and Lead Vocals; Pat Fortney - Bass and vocals; Fritz - Drums and vocals; and Col. Bruce Batterson - Sound

You can hear the band play some songs on the group's Myspace page--just click here.

And this link will take you to the blog entry for the band's performance last September.

I also posted photographs from Fun at the Zoo with Gladys Kravitz, so watch a slide show and download whatever pictures appeal to you.

And at this link on You Tube, you will find a video composed of snap shots from the band's performance set to a Gladys Kravitz tune from one of the three videos listed below.

You can enjoy three songs from the show in Lincoln. To listen to the music on You Tube, just follow these links:
