Talegate Party and First Football Game of the Season

The Second Annual Oakstock Music Festival set the stage for Saturday's fanfare and fun. Despite an opening-day Bobcat football loss to Concordia (13-7), the beautiful day featured the first Peru State College Tailgate Party and the largest crowd to see a Bobcat home football game.

Not a bad way to begin the school year, as the photographs, around two hundred of them, from the party and the game suggest.

The Tailgate Party offered an exciting variety of entertainment, from face painting to painted tattoos, from tasty burgers to rock music.

Gladys Kravitz punctuated the beautiful day with classic rock music you can enjoy again or for the first time on You Tube, where I posted two numbers.

You will want to click to HD and fill your screen with the image.
At the game, I took many pictures, trying to capture the crowd's excitement and record-breaking size. And I made a video that includes photographs and short films of both the Pep Band and the Cheerleaders.

Enjoy the videos and the photographs
.

Congratulations, too, to this year's Swens0n Award winners, Peru State College's Athletes of the year,
Kerra Brummer and Tony Janssen, featured in the following image:
