PSC Music Faculty Recital

Tuesday evening at 7:30 in the Fine Arts Recital Hall and for a good number of people, the PSC Music Faculty provided a varied and exciting mix of music and song.

I uploaded a group of photographs from the performances and of a few members of the audience. You should have no problem downloading large files--just click the "Actions" link and then from the drop down menu, choose "View All Sizes."

Ken Meints on alto trombone and Tom Ediger on piano got the recital off to an excellent start with Concerto for Trombone by Georg Christoph Wagenseil, which you can enjoy on You Tube.

Next, I recorded, also available for your viewing, Une Flute Invisible, a beautiful piece performed by Anne Sheedy Gardner, flute; Charlotte Shields, soprano; and Debra Wehrmann DeFrain, Piano.

Everyone in the audience enjoyed "I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major General," a fast-moving number from Pirates of Penzance. This hilarious, word-stuffed song showcases Tom Ediger's piano work and Pat Fortney's baritone.

And my final recording from this wonderful evening of fun, music, and song features
once again Tom Ediger on piano and Ken Meints, this time with his euphonium. They perform "Andante and Allegro" by J. E. Barat, a fitting way in which to conclude another successful faculty recital.
