Peru State College Piano Extravaganza 2012

I love the caption on the program for this annual event:  Fantastic Fingers and Heroic Hands of the Peru State College Piano Extravaganza.

This Sunday, April 14, at 7:00 pm in the College Theater, Dr. Tom Ediger conducted the Final Massed Concert of the teachers and students who rehearsed  all day in preparation for the final duets.

This year's concert featured 190 pianists--divided into eight groups--who played duets on the fifteen pianos grouped on the stage.

The groups perform in increasing order of both degree of skill  and sophistication of music.

To get a feel for the enthusiasm and how Piano Extravaganza functions, check out the slide show from the evening and then watch the two sort videos I made from the evening.
