Brain Trust at PSC

Brain Trust Organizers, Darolyn Seay and Gina Bittner

This afternoon, April 20, the Peru State College School of Education celebrated the 12th Brain Quest festivities.

Organized by  Darolyn Seay and Gina Bittner, this annual event attracted 198 3rd graders from the following area elementary schools:  HTRS (Humboldt), FallsCity, Auburn, Johnson-Brock, and Rock Port.

In addition, students enrolled in  EDUC327 and 328 (Teaching Math and Science in Elementary and Middle Grades) interact with the youngsters in a variety of activities, the titles of which sound like a lot of fun, from Super Slinkers to Detonation Station, from Cool Vibrations, to Angry Birds.

I enjoyed watching the activities and taking photographs of our students working with these energetic youngsters.

To get a feel for the fun, check out the slide show from this afternoon's instructive fun.
