Author and Journalist Joe Starita To Visit Peru State College

Sponsored by Alpha Chi Honor Society, Joe Starita, author of I Am A Man, will speak at Peru State College at 7:00 in the evening, Tuesday, October 1, in the Fine Arts Choral Room.

This event is open to one and all and is free.

Last fall, my College 101 class and Ken Meints' group took a bus to Elmwood and visited the Bess Streeter Aldrich House and Museum.

Afterwards, we boarded the bus for Lincoln and the Nebraska Historical Society Museum of Nebraska Natural History.  There, Joe Starita, author of I Am
A Man joined us, as depicted on the blog page for the trip.

I posted photographs of that trip and a short video of Joe's presentation.
At that time, Joe expressed an interest in visiting Peru State College, for he has never seen the campus.

To that end, Joe Starita will speak at Peru State at 7:00 in the evening in the Fine Arts Choral Room on October 1.

Mark your calendars, for Joe Starita is an energetic speaker.

Last year, my section of College 101 concluded the term with special projects that made use of a variety of technologies, from Facebook to Blogs.

One of the groups created a webpage devoted to Joe Starita that you might find interesting if you want to know more about this talented man:  Joe Starita, The Man Behind the Books.

The campus bookstore has copies of I Am A Man, so drop by and pick up a copy.  After his presentation, Joe Starita will be most pleased to sign books; he will also bring copies of I Am A Man with him for purchase.
